I hope you all had a less stressful year than I did in 2022! I thought I had implemented enough “self-care”, but if I’m being honest with myself I’m not so sure. So, this year I want to ensure that I block out all the time and activities that make me feel whole and balanced. I’m thinking that if I spend more time on hobbies and being with people that float my boat, I will feel healthier. Placing these “things” on my calendar to which I can somewhat control has become a gold key to a doorway full of guaranteed “fun times” and helps relieve stress.

That being said, I’d like to share some of my hopeful 2023 “calendarized” Non-Negotiables:

  • Morning Power Hour
  • 2 Weekly Hikes
  • 2 weekly 12-Step Meetings
  • 2 Monthly Dances
  • Attending Beantown Swing Camp
  • An adventure out West
  • A summer concert with my son
  • A vacation with my daughter

vacation out westNow if you looked at my calendar you would see most of these items already entered with dates and times. Some bulleted goals are not date-specific yet but I’m keeping a list. As your trusted organizer, I advise you to go ahead now in early January and create your entries and goal list. Then block your calendar for a productive and happy new year.
