I hope you all had a less stressful year than I did in 2022! I thought I had implemented enough “self-care”, but if I’m being honest with myself I’m not so sure. So, this year I want to ensure that I block out all the time and activities that make me feel whole and balanced. I’m thinking that if I spend more time on hobbies and being with people that float my boat, I will feel healthier. Placing these “things” on my calendar to which I can somewhat control has become a gold key to a doorway full of guaranteed “fun times” and helps relieve stress.
That being said, I’d like to share some of my hopeful 2023 “calendarized” Non-Negotiables:
- Morning Power Hour
- 2 Weekly Hikes
- 2 weekly 12-Step Meetings
- 2 Monthly Dances
- Attending Beantown Swing Camp
- An adventure out West
- A summer concert with my son
- A vacation with my daughter
Now if you looked at my calendar you would see most of these items already entered with dates and times. Some bulleted goals are not date-specific yet but I’m keeping a list. As your trusted organizer, I advise you to go ahead now in early January and create your entries and goal list. Then block your calendar for a productive and happy new year.
